Installation Technician

We are seeking a motivated, professional, and skilled Installation Tech to join our team at ClearCom! You will be responsible for successfully installing access control, CCTV, fire, and intrusion alarm systems. Working independently and as part of a team, you will utilize your technical expertise to ensure accurate and efficient system installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install Some or All of the Following Systems to Include Cabling, Devices, & Basic Head-End Equipment:

    • Access Control, Intrusion Alarms, I.P and Analog Video Surveillance Cameras, Fire Alarms, Network Cabling, Fiber Optics, Security Cabling, Intercoms, Wireless Network Access, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), Mass Notification, PA Systems, Nurse Call

  • Ability to understand work tickets and Sedona tickets.
  • Works independently or as part of a team to run/install small access control, CCTV, fire, and intrusion systems
  • Ability to read and understand CAD drawings, blueprints, and floor plans.
  • Maintain truck stock based on ClearCom requirements.
  • Working knowledge of volt meter/ohm meter, butt set, and Tone generator.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and at least six months of industry work experience.
  • The ability to wire/manually program a low-end burg control panel is desired.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and basic computer skills.
  • Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.

  • Familiar with using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements positively.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills are required for the position.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of team members, both management and staff, vendors, clients, and others.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and versatility in integrating into multiple work environments.

Work Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work in various environments, including those with special rules and procedures.
  • Availability for on-call duty outside regular working hours, including weekends and holidays.
